PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE STATEMENT ON THE FINAL 2016 PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

WASHINGTON – Partnership for Public Service President and CEO Max Stier released the following statement after the final presidential debate at University of Nevada Las Vegas.

“After three debates, neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump has been asked this vital question: ‘What are you doing to be ready to govern on day one?’ ” said Max Stier, Partnership for Public Service president and CEO. “The American public should be able to judge the candidates not only on their policies, but on the steps they are taking to prepare to deliver on their promises.”

For 15 years, the nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service has been dedicated to making the federal government more effective for the American people. We work across administrations to help transform the way government operates by increasing collaboration, accountability, efficiency and innovation. The Partnership’s Center for Presidential Transition is designed to help presidential candidates navigate the transition process, prepare political appointees to lead effectively and work with the outgoing administration to encourage a smooth transfer of power.
