The Office of International Finance is one of two principal components in the Office of International Affairs. It includes five principal deputy assistant secretaries and approximately 125 employees.3
• Advises and assists the secretary, deputy secretary and undersecretary for international affairs in the formulation and execution of U.S. international economic policy
• Oversees specific program areas, including international monetary and financial policy, as well as programs involving South and East Asia, Middle East and Africa, Europe and Eurasia and Western Hemisphere4
• Leads the Treasury’s work on international monetary policy
• Coordinates with the G-20
• Leads the Treasury’s work on regional and bilateral economic issues5
