Updates on the presidential transition process

With Election Day less than two months away, preparations are already well underway for the presidential transition process. At the start of the month, former Vice President and current Democratic nominee for President Joe Biden’s transition team began receiving government-funded support.

“It’s really crunch time for transition planning,” David Marchick, director of the Center for Presidential Transition at the Partnership for Public Service, said. “There are the career officials around the government agencies who are preparing for either eventuality, and the Biden team is gearing up to be ready on day one, should they win.”
