Barely 48 hours after the first polls closed, Biden’s campaign says it’s confident he’ll defeat President Donald Trump, and he appears well-positioned to do so. But as his team contemplates potential Cabinet nominees, they are now facing a daunting question: How far will Senate Republicans go to derail Biden’s Cabinet picks? Republicans don’t yet have the Senate locked up — control of the chamber might not be decided until January if both Georgia Senate races go to runoffs — but it seems the most likely outcome right now.
