Incoming Administration The Center for Presidential Transition is providing a single clearinghouse for transition planning and execution. We have a permanent collection of all the resources necessary to facilitate a smooth transfer of power and knowledge including a month-by-month timeline that takes teams through each step of the transition process, whitepapers on the importance of management in the lead-up to a new administration and historical documents from past efforts. Agency Review The agency review team is responsible for collecting information about the unique roles and responsibilities of each major department and agency of the federal government, and providing information that is relevant, useful and important to the new administration. View the timeline Read agency profiles Appointments The goal of a presidential transition team is not only to help the president-elect prepare to take office, but to fill roughly 4,000 politically appointed positions, including more than 1,000 jobs requiring Senate confirmation.
