Back to All Staff Kristine Simmons Vice President, Government Affairs As the head of the Government Affairs team, Kristine leads the Partnership’s education and advocacy work on Capitol Hill and serves as a member of the Partnership’s senior leadership team. Her responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to improve presidential transitions, informing congressional oversight, and reforming government management and the civil service system. Prior to joining the Partnership, Kristine served as a special assistant to President George W. Bush on the White House Domestic Policy Council. She also spent 11 years on Capitol Hill working in a senior capacity for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs. Kristine has worked with fantastic leaders in both the executive branch and Congress, and believes that people of integrity working across the aisle and across the branches can do great things for the American people.
