Kara Tippins supports communication efforts for the Partnership’s Center for Presidential Transition. Prior to joining the Partnership, Kara interned with the British Broadcasting Corporation in Washington and NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers. These experiences sparked her interest in politics and making American government more effective for its citizens. Kara’s favorite public servant is Linda E. Ledray. Through federally funded research grants in the 1970s, Ledray founded one of America’s first Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner programs that helped define American standards regarding rape kit testing and survivor sensitivity.
